Music is Dead
- Music died by the weight of poppy, zero-emotion, mainstream crap
- Music is a form of art crafted by skilled men and women
- Not by immature minded imbeciles, that can make a catchy beat with nothing to back it
- Real music flows together like a river with very little falters and not filled with repetition

Ever heard of the group Ces Cru? Probably not because they are not well known in society. They rose up to power under wing of Tech9, who is one of the bigger names in the rap world. “Click Clack Bang” and “Seven Chakras” are two of the best songs by them in my opinion, because they made a bumping beat with hard hitting lyrics with meaning behind the lines. Want to experience these jams? “Seven Chakras” and “Click Clack Bang”.
Mainstream needs to be blown off the face of the earth and an example of this shit for music is,”Call me maybe,” by Katy Perry. For one i will not call you and two this song is worthless garbage. I say this because the beat and the chorus get jammed into your skull, because that's all this song does is get an annoy ring in your head, but if you actually listen to the other words all she’s talking about is picking up a dude. That’s it with absolutely no feeling or time put into crafting it at all, my 5 year old brother could make a song ten times better. So in my honest opinion pop should be changed into something more or at least better than it is, because it ruins the good name of music and what it's all about. So pop artists please head to the link in the beginning and create better crafted songs than the shit on a shingle you have now.
Techno music has to do with sounds and beats that groove, melting together to create a master piece of bumping tunes. Much better than that mainstream of music, its a root that contains all the rhythms from most of the tune world. Although some of the genre has no lyrics to sing along with, but it makes up for it with whats called a BASSDROP which is where the song gets very intense or changing rhythms. Bumping and going wild to this electronic artistry is a favorite at raves or a real good house party. Some good ones are "Nevermind by Infected Mushroom" and "Louder by DJ Fresh" (:
On the other hand a song like “Permanent Enemy” has clear representation of Jokerr’s view on a matter worth talking about. A listener can also relate to his strife with a former best friend and co-worker. Unlike that foolishness created by mainstream pop, his songs create thoughts and questions about why Jokerr has a strong hatred for Funk Volume. Just like I have a vendetta against fake ass people and music that has no force behind it. This is a true work of art with plenty of thought and feeling put into the lyrics and beat of the song. Jokerr has a flow about his music that runs very smoothly going along with the mood set by the background sound and beat, which Katy Perry doesn't do in that poop of a song she made. A final thing is that Jokerr makes a hard hitting line at the end of the song that involves the listeners of Funk Volume and others that haven’t even heard of Hopsin.

First of all, I love how sarcastic this post is. It made me laugh because I listen to a lot of pop music and it made me think that a lot of pop music does sound the same and sounds a bit like crap. Now, I like what I like and nothing will change that, but it was entertaining. Second of all, I am so deeply passionate about music, that to hear another person talk just as passionately about music is awesome, and if you ever want to talk music, you know where to find me. My only question is how is music dead? There are plenty of artists out there who write music like the old days. Thank you for a blog post that made me laugh out loud! :)
ReplyDeleteOpinionated construct. I like it. I can't say I agree entirely, as I listen to everything ranging from Techno to Grunge to Pop to Nightcore, and all of the rest of the musical spectrum, but I feel your frustration. It's like you've been only reading, I don't know, Shakespeare your whole life, and then suddenly you're in a library which only offers, I don't know, various Young Adult novels. It's frustrating having to make a shift from what you like to what you're not comfortable with simply because of another genre's popularity.
ReplyDeleteThere is not enough diversity in radio today which led to a rise in the pop phenomenon. If people are playing only pop then that's all people get the opportunity to listen to. It's not necessarily an individuals fault, but the fault of our system which promotes only the music deemed appropriate for audience viewing, which ends up being pop music. More variety in promotion would definitely give other artists besides pop music creators a chance to gain some popularity and generate some fans.
