As an animal lover and pet owner, I think it is very important to make smart choices in choosing the pet that is right for you. Thirty-four to forty-seven percent of households in the United States own dogs. The biggest mistake that dog owners make is choosing which breed is right for them, and that is the sad reason that thousands of dogs end up in animal shelters. Before you bring a new puppy into your life you should do your research and make a smart decision about which dog is right for your lifestyle. Below is a summary of some of my favorite dog breeds who could possibly make the perfect addition to your family.
1.) Labrador Retrievers
From personal experience, I can confirm that these dogs could be the perfect addition to almost any family. These dogs are friendly with children and also great companions for adults. They are easy to train from an early age and that is why some of these dogs are trained to work in the armed forces, with firefighters, or even with people with disabilities. Here is an article explaining how one yellow lab saved their owner's life on 9/11 to prove just how smart these dogs are. If you are looking to buy one of these dogs you need a large backyard so they can get plenty of exercise throughout the entire day.
2.) Beagles
Beagles are relatively small, tricolor dogs who also make a great family pet. In order to properly
take care of a beagle you must make time to exercise them daily because they are very energetic dogs. For the most part, if you have a beagle you must supervise them at all times because they are hunting dogs and tend to chase down any small animal they see. Another common quality that hunting dogs have is that they have loud barks, so if you live n an apartment with neighbors nearby, owning a beagle is not recommended. If you live in almost any other type of area, a beagle could be the perfect dog for you.
3.)French Bulldogs

These cute little dogs with bat-like ears are considered a companion dog. These dogs do not require an excessive amount of exercise, but daily walks are important to keep them in perfect shape. Therefore, they are great dogs to own if you live in a small apartment or house. They need companionship with their owner almost constantly, so they are a great dog for a person who works at home and will be able to spend time with them. If you are able to spend a quality amount of time with your French Bulldog training will be fairly easy.
4.)Cocker Spaniels

If you are a traveler, this dog is perfect for you. These dogs are obedient, loyal, and fairly small. These dogs are obedient because they listen to their owner and are well-behaved around people who they have never seen before. They are loyal and will surely be your best friend when traveling to the different places your life will lead you. One thing you must keep in mind when you are traveling the world with your Cocker Spaniel is to groom them regularly, because their fur is thick.
Hopefully, after reading this blog you have learned some information about the different breeds of dogs I have presented. Whether you choose to purchase one of the dog breeds I have presented or not, be sure to always do your research before bringing a new pet into your life. A new dog will be your companion for many years to come, but always remember different breeds come with different responsibilities.
Very informative; you gave a great description of the four breeds! The pictures also evoked sentiment for puppies. I'm personally a fan of the French Bulldog; he reminds me of my chubby adorable cat. You effectively introduced your topic in the Introduction paragraph. Although the conclusion is brief, it still powerfully communicates the message behind the blog: Choose the right dog for you. I thought the layout of the blog was effective, albeit simple. For the proper audience, this blog is extremely helpful.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely one of the cutest post I've seen today! I liked how you gave specific information and recommendations to the reader. The type of dog is something you should consider before buying it. I don't own a dog, but after this I'm definitely going to look into a French Bulldog. They're just too cute!
ReplyDeleteFor a dog lover such as myself, this sure is a cute post! You imparted some great information for prospective owners and although I am partial to Labs they all seem like great options. My only advice is to add more variety in the breeds...I want to see more puppies!
